NALSAR-1st sem

For those of you who think that getting into national law school (after preparing conscientiously for the law entrance test) is the end of your preparation, think again!

I started preparing for CLAT-2010 after my board examinations in March. The exam was scheduled to be held on May 9. I knew I had just about 40-45 days to prepare for the same.
NLSIU, Bangalore and NALSAR, Hyderabad were my dream law schools. I was fortunate to get into NALSAR.
NALSAR undoubtedly is a great place to be in. With the sharpest brains coming in from all over the country, one gets a highly competitive and diverse study environment. You may often experience bouts of dizziness, what with a zillion assignments and projects waiting to be finished. But, you cannot throw away these 5 years of law school, simply by sticking to what the professors say or ask you to do.
National Law Universities demand a high degree of discipline from legal scholars.
Be prepared to work a zillion times harder when you get into law school.National Law universities are the pioneer institutes of legal education in our country. Law students wish to pursue the 5-year integrated course in NLUs because of the way these law schools "grill" and "polish" them. The legal terrain is a rough playing field, so it is said.

There are questions which may pop in your mind from time to time: Am I really cut out for law? Is this the place for me? What am I supposed to do here- moot, write research papers,  etc. etc.
But remember to always have a goal, be very clear about what you want to be after 5 years. Keep your standards high and work hard to match up to them.
At the same, participate and have an experience of everything. You will get a zillion opporutunities in National Law Schools, but it is upto you to make use of them. Choose wisely.
Be prepared to make mistakes and learn from them. Most importantly, don't get affected by what people say or think. Don't be disheartened if things don't turn out in your favour. Make the most of what you have. Failures are the stepping stones to success. Time and again, you might fall , but don't let these falls cripple you.Be strong emotionally and mentally. Do things you believe in.
